Les Fridolinades

Gratien Gélinas and his granddaughter Violaine present the best sketches from the famous Les Fridolinades, a show that left a lasting impression on Quebec’s cultural landscape. Denis Bouchard serves up a masterly performance as Fridolin in this more recent version of the play. Les Fridolinades show is a series of tableaux, monologues and songs inspired by current political events in the 1930s and 40s. Through mordant satire, the revue draws a striking picture of a not-so-distant era, looking at our history from a new perspective.
