Yin Yang

Documentary Series

4 X 60 minutes

2004

Broadcaster: Télé-Québec

Yin Yang is a laboratory… Each hour offers two films presenting different artistic visions of a single subject—one by a male and one by a female director. The films all look at relationships—relationhips sought or the lack of a relationship. The result is eight singular, little films d’auteurs (L’amour impossible, Le célibat, L’engagement and Séduction par Internet) that deal humorously and honestly with the differences and similarities that characterize the sentimental journey of men and women. A sort of cross-comparison through very personal portraits of the different perceptions that men and women can have of intimate relationships.

Scriptwriters and Directors:

L’amour impossible: Ann Arson and Mathieu Fontaine
Le célibat: Miryam Bouchard and Érik Cimon
L’engagement: Jennifer Alleyn and François Blouin
Séduction par Internet: Lyne Charlebois and Ricardo Trogi

Producers: Judy Servay and Luc Wiseman

Coproduction: Soma Productions and Avanti Ciné Vidéo
