Pendant ce temps, devant la télé...

The comedy Pendant ce temps, devant la télé... depicts the real and imaginary lives of four young adults running side by side, intermixing the ups and downs of their daily lives with spoofs of TV shows and infomercials.

Jonathan and his sister Kim share the basement apartment in their family home. Jonathan and his friend David spend their time on the couch hogging the TV while Kim and her accomplice Audrey pop in between activities. Whenever the two genders meet, an exchange of wickedly funny barbs ensues.

Hostilities cease immediately, however, when their favourite shows come on. Whether it’s the Reality Show Hurry up and Hook up or Challenges for the Challenged, they all gather in front of the boob tube where they laugh and cry and turn a critical eye to the announcers featured in some of the infomercials they watch.
