Les Grandes Gueules en Spécial

Les Grandes Gueules en Spécial recounts the meteoric rise of the duo made up of José Gaudet and Mario Tessier. This 60-minute special runs chronologically through the major events of the Grandes Gueules’ career—from when they first met at l’École Polyvalente to Mario’s enrolment in the army, José’s stint in politics, their admission to l’École nationale de l’humour, their radio audition, their phenomenal success on the radio, the development of their characters and, of course, the controversial Angélil affair.

Besides the interviews with the two comedians, the biography presents first-person accounts by numerous personalities who knew them personally. All of this is enhanced by a dozen or so sketches featuring a few of their now famous characters, including Ti-Rouge, Jocelyne, Robert, Enrique, No-Where, Jean Charest, René Angélil, Armand, and more.
