Samuel de Champlain—embodied by Yves Jacques—welcomes us to La Place de l’Assemblée Nationale to celebrate Quebec City’s 400th birthday through more than ten impressionistic and musical tableaux. Great artists from Quebec and the French-speaking nations of the world interpret some of the most beautiful songs of this land. These artists include : Marco Calliari, Robert Charlebois, Claude Dubois, Luce Dufault, Diane Dufresne, HSAO, Karkwa, Yves Lambert, Maurane, Ariane Moffatt, Lynda Thalie, Marie-Jo Thério, Annie Villeneuve, Florent Vollant and Bob Walsh. Accompanied by 15 musicians, the singers share the stage with six back-up singers, 25 acrobats, several dancers and extras and an intergenerational choir.
